Natural Antibiotics

For many centuries, people have been using natural antibiotics or herbs with antibiotic properties to fight bacterial infection. Usually, natural antibiotics are milder than their synthetic counterparts, making them a great alternative to treating minor illnesses. Since the misuse and overuse of antibiotics have made more strains of bacteria antibiotic resistance, more and more people are truing to a more natural option.
Garlic
Well know for its antibacterial property, Garlic also exhibits antiviral, antifungal and parasite-killing abilities. Garlic can just be as effective as a broad spectrum antibiotic, meaning it can use to treat numerous strains of bacteria. One significant advantage of garlic is that the bacteria do not seem to build up a resistance to it as they do to many synthetic antibiotics. The active compound of allicin is very similar to the antibiotic, penicillin. Allicin is destroyed in the cooking process, so it’s best to eat it raw. Garlic pills may also be effective.
Tea Tree Oil
Clove
Eugenol is the chemical in cloves that give its antibacterial properties Cloves are also an antiseptic and anesthetic. Research have confirmed cloves' effectiveness in inhibiting food-borne pathogens as well as other bacteria. Clove oil can be used to treat Athletics foot, nail fungus, and skin problems. Clove oil is also commonly used to treat Toothache, Tooth Infection and Tooth Abscess. There are some risks in using clove oil. Potential side effects include bleeding, sore throat, vomiting, sedation, seizure, kidney failure, liver failure, fluid in lungs and difficulty breathing.
Neem
Azadirachta indica, Also know as Neem, is a tree in the mahogany family. Neem is native to India, Burma, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Pakistan. Neem has been shown to be toxic to 14 common fungi, Trichophyton—an "athlete's foot" fungus , Epidermophyton—a "ringworm" that invades both skin and nails of the feet; and Candida. Neem oil also suppress several species of pathogenic bacteria, including: Staphylococcus aureus, and Salmonella typhosa
Usnea
Usnea, sometimes referred to as Old Man's Beard, is a type of lichen that is grown all over the world. Usnea contains Usnic acid , a potent antibiotic and antifungal agent. Usnea treats surface infections, tuberculosis and upper respiratory infections. It's also an oral antibiotic agent when used in rinses or mouthwashes. Potential side effects include contact dermatitis, runny nose, asthma, bleeding and hives.
